Marine reserve report cards
IntroductionThe health of individual marine reserves is summarised in these report cards. They present the health status and trend, based on a selection of measures.
The health status of a marine reserve is rated superior, good, fair or poor. The trend over five years is rated increasing, stable, declining or undetermined, based on monitoring data and research studies.
The following measures (or indicators) are used to report the health of the marine reserve:
- seafood species
- water quality
- marine pests
- surrounding land.
More measures may be added in the future.
