Hut white-tail deer in this inland block in Rakiura National Park – a 'restricted area permit' is required. A separate permit is required for possum trapping.- Possum hunting: You need both a restricted hunting permit and a possum trapping permit for this block. Get a possum trapping permit by emailing stewartisland@doc.govt.nz

General information
Rakeahua is an inland block on the Rakeahua River at the head of Patersons Inlet, in Rakiura National Park.
How to book restricted hunting blocks and apply for hunting permits.
Bookings are required and can be made up to 12 months in advance. Check availability of Stewart Island hunting blocks.
Request a booking online or contact Rakiura National Park Visitor Centre.
Access
