Funeral arrangements

Introduction
DOC is working closely with the families of senior rangers Paul Hondelink and Scott Theobald on the arrangements for their funerals.Date: 25 October 2018
The Hondelink family has this morning confirmed that Hondy’s funeral will be this Sunday 28 October 2 pm at the Alpine Helicopter Hangar at Wanaka Airport.
The Theobald family will be holding two funeral services for Scott; one at 2 pm, Wednesday 31 October at Glentanner Holiday Park in Aoraki/Mt Cook and one at 2 pm, Saturday 3 November in Whangarei. The venue for the Whangarei service is still to be confirmed.
Yesterday the Wallis family confirmed that the funeral for Nick Wallis will be at 2 pm this Saturday, 27 October, also at the Alpine Helicopter Hangar.
“New Zealanders feel keenly the loss and I expect there will be many who wish to personally farewell these three great men,” says Graeme Ayres, who is the DOC family liaison.
