Volunteer in the Tauranga area
Introduction
Help DOC rangers and community groups enhance local gems in the Tauranga area.Description
Rangers from Tauranga invite you to join in on our volunteer days. The activities and the location will vary.
As well as helping out DOC rangers and community groups, you'll also get to learn about the history of the project area, go on a walk or catch a glimpse of some of the amazing wildlife.
Our current volunteer program includes:
- adopt a track – track maintenance
- community support – assisting our partnerships with events and advocacy
- visitor and heritage team workdays – once a month in the field with the rangers improving tracks
- seal volunteers – responding to seal call outs to mitigate public and seal safety
- high-fitness, high-skilled biodiversity support – sharing your experience and skills in predator control and species monitoring.
