Pomona Island Charitable Trust

Aim: To restore the biodiversity on Pomona Island – the largest island in Lake Manapōuri. The biodiversity on the island has suffered from the introduction of mammals such as stoats, possums, deer, rats and mice.

The Trust is a community-led charitable trust that has a strong reliance on volunteers to restore Pomona and Rona Islands.

The Valleys Project

Aim: To adjust the balance in favour of our birdlife by trapping predators in areas currently without any control measures.

Targeting Fiordland in particular, this project offers corporates or like-minded individuals the opportunity to contribute to conservation work in spectacular surroundings.
