Dog access
This is one of two DOC campsites and three DOC huts on the Kepler Track.
This is a lovely Great Walk campsite amongst beech forest beside Lake Te Anau, on the Kepler Track in Fiordland National Park. A great spot for family day trips and picnics too.
Fees
In the Great Walks season (29 October 2024 – 30 April 2025)
New Zealand citizens and those ordinarily resident in New Zealand:
- Adult (18+ years): $25 per night, per person
- Child (5 to 17 years): $12 per night, per person
International visitors:
- Adult (18+ years): $38 per night, per person
- Child (5 to 17 years): $19 per night, per person
Proof of eligibility is required for the New Zealand rate.
Outside the Great Walks season (1 May 2024 – 28 October 2024)
For all visitors:
- Adult (18+ years): $10 per person, per night
- Child (5 to 17 years): $5 per person, per night
The DOC Campsite Pass cannot be used at this campsite.

Bookings are required in the Great Walks season.
This campsite is located beside Lake Te Anau, on the Kepler Track in Fiordland. It is about 1.5 hours walk from Kepler Carpark.
