General information

North Arm is a coastal block in Paterson Inlet, in Rakiura National Park. No hunting is allowed within 100 m of the Rakiura Track at any time of the year.

North Arm Campsite

This is a basic Great Walk campsite on Stewart Island/Rakiura. It is a short distance from North Arm Hut and is surrounded by forest.

Facilities: 4 non-powered / tent sites, fire pit/place for campfires (except in fire bans), non-powered/tent sites, toilets - non-flush, water from tap - not treated, boil before use

Dogs

Dogs are not allowed as this block is within a national park.

Possum hunting

To trap possums on this block you need both a restricted hunting permit and a possum trapping permit. Get a possum trapping permit by emailing stewartisland@doc.govt.nz
