Bookings for Great Walks, huts, campsites and lodges are open for stays up to 30 June 2025.

All bookings are first-come first-served. We do not have waiting lists for bookings for future seasons or facilities that are already booked out. Not all facilities can be booked.

    Campsite Pass

    About Campsite Passes

    A Campsite Pass gives you access to DOC conservation campsites around New Zealand, including bookable and non-bookable campsites. Some exclusions apply.
    Backcountry Hut Pass

    About Backcountry Hut Passes

    A Backcountry Hut Pass gives access to most serviced and standard huts, as well as most campsites outside serviced huts.

    How to modify or cancel your booking

    It is easy to modify or cancel your bookings. Just log back into your booking account.

    1. Select My Account in the green bar, top right of page.
    2. Then select All GW bookings to see your Great Walks bookings or My Bookings for all non Great Walk hut, campsite and lodge bookings.
    3. Find the booking you want to change
    4. Click Cancel to cancel your booking
    5. Click Modify to change dates, change number of people, change a persons details for Great Walks bookings or change number of nights.

    You can email a copy of your confirmation to yourself by selecting reprint.
