This campsite has a nice view of the Route Burn valley. This is one of two DOC campsites and three DOC huts on the Routeburn Track.

Walking the track outside the Great Walk season should only be attempted by fit, experienced and well equipped trampers.
In the Great Walks season (1 November 2023 – 30 April 2024)
New Zealand citizens and those ordinarily resident in New Zealand*:
- Adult (18+ years): $21 per person, per night
- Child (17 years and under): free but booking still required
International visitors:
- Adult (18+ years): $32 per person, per night
- Child (17 years and under): $16 per person, per night
Outside the Great Walks season (1 May 2023 – 31 October 2023)
For all visitors:
- Adult (18+ years): $10 per person, per night
- Child: (17 years and under): free
Proof of eligibility is required for the New Zealand rate.
The DOC Campsite Pass cannot be used at this campsite.
Bookings
Bookings are required all year.
This campsite is on the Routeburn Track in Fiordland National Park. It is about 4 – 6 hours walk from the Divide, Milford Road (reached from Te Anau).
Tracks to this campsite
The use of hut facilities by campers is not permitted. You must carry your own tent, sleeping bag, cooking gear etc.
A resident DOC ranger is stationed at the nearby hut (during the Great Walks season) and will check your tickets, pass on information about the environment and weather, or help you out should an emergency arise.
