Expression of interest for a concession in Pūponga Farm Park

Background

There is an opportunity to graze part of the Pūponga Farm Park under a concession arrangement from January 2025. DOC is also interested in other arrangements that may not include grazing.

How to express an interest

In order to manage an allocation process to identify a suitable operator, the Minister invites, under section 17ZG (2)(a) of the Conservation Act 1987, expressions of interest (EOI) by 5 pm on Friday 13 September 2024.

The EOI will then enable the Minister to invite applications and/or encourage specific applications.

DOC will not process any applications for Pūponga Farm Park outside of this EOI process.

The Minister is not bound to complete the EOI.

Pursuant to s17R(2)(a) no new applications will be accepted for this activity while the s17ZG(2)(a) process that applies to this activity and process is in place.
