Summary of proposal

The proposed activity is to use approximately 3.15 hectares of public conservation land on the true right of the Upukuroa River to process and stockpile extracted gravel. Vehicle access to the site would be along approximately 1 km of on an existing formed gravel road from the State Highway 94. The gravel working area would be fenced to exclude the public.

The Minister of Conservation has made no determination regarding the suitability of this proposed concession on public conservation land. This public notification should not be interpreted as an intention on the part of the Minister of Conservation to grant the proposed concession.
