This site is in the Hooker-Landsborough Wilderness Area and is open year round for foot access.

This site is included in the ballot system for helicopter access (late April-June).

Road access point: Mahitahi road end (State Highway 6).
Foot access: Very difficult. Access via Mahitahi and Edison river valleys.

Camp in the gully by the creek. This site is at a higher altitude, and can be very cold. Large flat area for camping. Suitable for parties of 4 hunters. Creek water supply.
