Introduction

  • Walk in beautiful dense forest, full of interesting ferns and tall trees.
  • Keep an eye out for North Island robin – they like to eat insects you disturb as you walk
  • Visit the jewel lake protected by Mt Pihanga in Tongariro National Park.
  • Pack a picnic and enjoy a lunchtime swim at Long Beach.
