Didymo is present in the Hollyford River, but not in most of the Pyke River.
All visitors should take precautions to avoid transporting didymo when on the Hollyford Track, swimming, fishing, or packrafting.
The recommended travel route is Hollyford first, then Pyke, after cleaning gear in the sea.
Do not take water from these areas and avoid filling water bottles.
