The camp manager will collect your fees during your stay at the campsite. Cash only is accepted at this campground. There is no eftpos available. There is a maximum of seven days per stay for this site.
Passes
- Adult (18+ years): $10 per night
- Child (5–17 years): $5 per night
- Infant (0 - 4 years): free
The DOC Campsite Pass cannot be used at this campsite.
Leave SH2 at Waikino, via Waitawheta Road southbound over a one-lane bridge, then take Kennedy Road and Dickey Flat Rd. The final approach is unsealed road.

A permanent year-round liquor ban is in place in Dickey Flat. Keep liquor away from the site, including in vehicles.

Access to camping sites requires walking in from the car park.
Caravans, campervans and motorhomes less than 11 m long are able to set up in the carpark, near the walk in area to the campsite.

Waitawheta River is known for its trout.
Swimming
There are some great swimming holes downstream on Waitawheta River.
Walking and tramping
The campsite provides access to a variety of short walks and overnight tramps featuring historic mining and logging remains amongst the regenerating bush.
