October to April each year: Apply to be a volunteer hut warden over the summer season at the Woolshed Creek or Pinnacles huts on the Mt Somers Track. One week minimum time commitment.

Volunteer to protect the unique biodiversity of the Lake Ōhau area by joining regular planting events in autumn, wilding tree control in spring and ongoing animal predator control.
October to April each year: Apply to be a volunteer camp host over the summer season at the Peel Forest campground. 2 weeks minimum time commitment.
October - April each year: Volunteer as a camp host at Pioneer Park Campsite for two weeks or more over the summer.
October - April each year: Volunteer as a camp host at Waihī Gorge Campsite for two weeks or more over the summer.
Volunteer to control wilding pines to preserve the natural landscapes and biodiversity of the Mackenzie basin. Events run between October and April.
