Introduction

Have your say on an application by NZSki Ltd for a ski field concession at Hakatere Conservation Park and Mount Hutt Forest Conservation Area. Submissions close 29 May 2018.

The Minister of Conservation gives notice of her intention to grant a 40-year concession under section 17Q of the Conservation Act 1987 to NZSki Limited for the continued operation of the existing Mount Hutt Ski Field Area situated within Hakatere Conservation Park and Mount Hutt Forest Conservation Area.

Any person or organisation may object in writing to the Director-General against the proposal, or make written submissions on the proposal.

Submissions will be accepted up to and including Tuesday, 29 May 2018, and should include reference: 35128-SKI.

Once submitted, submitters’ information is subject to the Official Information Act 1982 and may be released under that Act. If you wish to keep any part of your submission confidential, you need to state this in writing when making your submission.

Hearing

Any person or organisation wishing to be heard in support of his/her objection or submission, must request (in that objection/submission) an opportunity to appear before the Director-General.

If a hearing is required, it is likely to occur during the week of 1115 June 2018.
