Introduction

Have your say on the Minister of Conservation's intention to grant a concession to Real Journeys Limited at Arthurs Point, Queenstown. Submissions close 9 November 2017.

The Minister of Conservation gives notice of her intention to grant a concession, for up to a maximum term of 30 years, under section 17Q of the Conservation Act 1987 to Real Journeys Limited for the continued occupation of an existing structure for use as a café and bar (known as Cavell’s Café), to build a small extension to that structure to house a small brewery and to remodify and extend existing patio and outdoor public dining facilities at the front of the café in the Morning Star Beach Recreation Reserve, Arthurs Point, Queenstown.

How to submit

Any person or organisation may object in writing to the Director-General of Conservation against the proposal, or make written submissions on the proposal.

Submissions will be accepted up to and including 5:00 pm 9 November 2017 and should be marked with the reference 59942-SER.

Hearing

Any person or organisation wishing to be heard in support of his/her objection, or submission, must request (in that objection/submission) an opportunity to appear before the Director-General. If a hearing is required, it is likely to occur during the week of 20 November 2017.
