Intention to grant a concession to NZ Deerstalkers Association Inc
Introduction
Have your say on the Minister of Conservation's intention to grant an accommodation concession to NZ Deerstalkers Association (Palmerston Branch) Inc. for Staircase Hut and helipad at Waianakarua Scenic Reserve. Submissions close 29 September 2017.The Minister of Conservation gives notice of her intention to grant a 30 year concession under section 17Q of the Conservation Act 1987 to New Zealand Deerstalkers Association (Palmerston Branch) Incorporated to own, occupy and operate an existing hut known as “Staircase Hut”, and to establish and maintain a helicopter landing site (helipad) to service the hut at Waianakarua Scenic Reserve, for the purpose of providing accommodation during recreational hunting and training activities.
How to submit
Any person or organisation may object in writing to the Director-General against the proposal, or make written submissions on the proposal.

Submissions will be accepted up to and including 29 September 2017, and should include the reference 38929-ACC.
Once submitted, submitters’ information is subject to the Official Information Act 1982 and may be released under that Act. If you wish to keep any part of your submission confidential, you need to state this in writing when making your submission.
Hearing
Any person or organisation wishing to be heard in support of his/her objection or submission, must request (in that objection/submission) an opportunity to appear before the Director-General.
If a hearing is required, it is likely to occur on the week starting 16 October 2017.
