Transport Orders in Council modify sections 53 and 71 of the Wildlife Act.The Orders in Council modify sections 53 and 71 of the Wildlife Act. This means that instead of applying for authority or consent for repairs to the sections of road and railway in the Orders, Waka Kotahi and KiwiRail must comply with the requirements in the Orders.
