Getting there

From the Wanaka lakefront, head south on Ardmore St. At the roundabout, take the second exit and stay on Ardmore St. At the next roundabout, take the second exit onto State Hwy 84 heading to Airport/Cromwell/W Coast. Turn right onto Ballantyne Rd (signs for Golf Course). Turn left onto the first driveway on Ballantyne Road, into the Tititea/Mount Aspiring National Park visitor centre.

Driving time: 3 min from Wanaka Lakefront (800 m)
Walking time: 12 min from Wanaka Lakefront (800 m)
Where to park: Free parking available in the large parking lot in front of the Visitor Centre.

Opening hours

Summer hours (October - end of April)

  • 8:15 am – 4:15 pm, Monday to Sunday
  • Closed Christmas Day, 25 December

Winter hours (May – September)

  • 8:30 am – 4:15 pm, Monday
  • 8:15am – 4:15 pm Tuesday to Thursday
  • Closed Friday - Sunday
