Summary
Developing an understanding of the condition and risks to estuarine habitats is critical to their effective management.
As part of its estuary programme, DOC contracted Wriggle Coastal Management to undertake broad scale mapping of the lower reaches of the Whanganui River Estuary and the adjoining terrestrial margin, including the barrier spit.
