Summary

The Kaiteriteri Recreation Reserve Board, who have been appointed by the Minister of Conservation to 'control and manage' the reserves, prepared this management plan in accordance with the requirements of section 41 of the Reserves Act 1977.

This management plan is a community 'living document' setting out operational management actions and guidelines for the reserves.

The plan is divided into several parts, including the vision, objectives, policies and methods that the Board will apply to maintain a very high level of visitor satisfaction with the reserves, while preserving the high quality natural setting, cultural values and the functioning of local ecosystems.
