Summary
This joint management plan for Farewell Spit Nature Reserve and Puponga Farm Park was prepared in accordance with both the Reserves Act 1977 section 41 and tne Conservation Act 1987 section 11. It is the first plan for these two important natural areas.
The draft plan was released for public comment in May 1989. Fourteen submissions were received. The final plan incorporating many small changes was submitted to the Nelson Conservation Board and approved.
