The Cape Kidnappers – Gannet Reserve Te Kauae O Maui Conservation Management Plan is a statutory document that implements the Hawke's Bay Conservation Management Strategy and sets out the policies and objectives for the management of Cape Kidnappers Gannet Reserve, which is a composite of four separate reserves.

The plan was developed after extensive public consultation and approved by the Rangitikei/ Hawke's Bay Conservation Board on 31 August 1998.

The plan is likely to be revoked once a new East Coast Hawke's Bay Conservation Management Strategy is approved.
